I'm a teacher, photographer, jewelry maker, novelist. If it's creative I dabble in it! I gather hobbies and craft skills! I can't see how people live life without art (in whatever creative form whether photos, oils, wire, wood, pen and ink, etc.).

I am an enthusiastic jewelry artist! It is an artistic outlet as well as a burgeoning business.

I specialize in wire work and bead netting.

I typically only use, glass, shell, stone, and wire.

I enjoy making larger, unusual pieces. I can rarely reproduce the same piece exactly.

Photography, writing, sci-fi, salsa dancing, drawing, sewing, crochetting (learning to knit as well).

Anything to work with my hands and make something useful and beautiful- I'm into!

Hiya Sweetie! Sounds like you could use a hot bath, candle light, soft music and a glass of wine to unwind from work.

Hang in there girlfriend

howdy lola!
sorry about your teaching situation! my sis-n-law is a computer teacher and she moved from teaching 4th and 5th graders to k-3 and LOVES it!!! those little guys are sweet, want your approval, and haven't become oppinionated little lazy lumps yet--so i know what you're going through!
i love to learn and always did well in english because i have been reading since i was 5 and wanted to before then--but some of the kids in my class hated it, and gave some of the best teachers the worst times!
hang in there gal!!! you never know, you may be teaching a future pulitizer prize winner!!
have a good rest of the week--take time to refresh your soul along the way :)
hugs!!! theresa

Excellent! can't wait to see it =) I haven't looked at the schedule they got for the advanced classes yet ... I'll have to go over to the website and see . . . prolly same time in the afternoon, traffic is a breeze then :-)

Sold a few more pieces at the art gallery so that is working out really well. Yep my house is shaping up really nice but, we really need to get the livingroom painted before late fall sets in and do the fireplace facade, we are gonna do z-brick in old chicago which has gold and taupe black tones to it and paint the walls a taupe color =)

hope you've had a great weekending!!

LOLA!!!
First, let me wish you a great first day back to school! I'm glad you had an awesome summer, and I absolutely love your flower pendant! You did a beautiful job!

Oh...earring samplers are just a pair of earrings. They are for the "Northwest Friendship Box" that one of my teams on Etsy is putting together. They got the idea from Little Black Boxes, http://thelittleblackboxes.com/index.html
Check it out! It's a really cool marketing idea. Anyway, the boxes that will have my earrings in them along with a dozen other crafty items will be from Eastern Washington Etsy Team members. A website is being constructed right now to purchase from, but won't go on sale till first of Nov. I'm really excited to be participating, and hope it helps with sales.

Have a wonderful Friday my friend!
*HUGS*

Hi Lola!

Not enough time again, still working on the pendant, which I should already have in the mail. I'm ashamed of myself, always wait to the last moment, always doing too much.

I have a couple questions for you (and/or anyone else who sees this and would like to reply). Any/all replies would be very much appreciated! I hear about tumbling completed pieces of wirewrapped jewelry in a (obviously) tumbler along with metal shot for the purpose of (I hear) hardening the metal and polishing it all up to a fine sheen. That's all good and well and I don't doubt that that's how it's done based on all I've seen (of course). I just have have this discomfort wtih the thought of an acrylic and/or real cameo bracelet or pendant, or a stone pendant rolling around in water/solution with metal banging up against the stone. I would be fearful of it breaking. Can you, Lola, or anyone - set my mind at ease and/or tell me how this works out in actual fact? I'd be much obliged. By the way, Lola, I don't know if that's your mom in in your background photo. . but she is one lovely and sophisticated looking lady! (just thought I'd say so). Blessings!

HUGS  It's gotta be this dang ole economy!  Contract stone

cutting?  Sounds interesting.  Do you enjoy it?

Hi, Lola. Yes I do enjoy seeing the wonders of nature all shinny and pretty. I want to keep some of them, but they are not mine. Funny you should mention peanut butter cookies, they are one of my favs. Have a great day.

Tom

I hope all turns around!!  HUGS and peanut butter cookies to ya!

Hi,

Lola. All is well on this end. I've been a little busy working and

doing some contract stone cutting for some extra "winter money". My web

site isn't doing very well, so I'm doing what I can.

Hope you have a great day.

Tom

How have you been? I hope all is well on your end!
